Sharp Plasmacluster Minisplit Air Conditioner
I got a bit fed up with my shop's tendency of heating up a lot at noon, even my exhaust fans wouldn't make a difference. Thats why I decided to get an AC for my shop. This is a Sharp Plasmacluster minisplit AC, model AH-AP5JHL. It's a half ton unit, and it gets the job done fairly quickly even though these Sharp aircons are known for being not so great at its job. I bought this unit second handed from my AC repairman friend. I chose this yellowed, & corroded thing over new minisplits just because I don't like how modern minisplits are designed. Most, if not all fairly cheap units looks white, flat, and boring, while this one adds a splash of colour to my room, especially because most of the fans in my collection are old, & yellowed(yes I'm not ashamed to admit that I like how yellowed fans look). The condensing unit of this AC has several quirks as well. It is a half ton, but it has an oversized condenser(in my opinion). That's the main reason why the condenser fan spins very slowly, it doesn't have to spin fast because that seemingly slow moving fan is more than capable of cooling the condenser coil. I know this video doesn't fit too well with my general content, & the name of this channel, but I decided to post it anyway since I'm slowly dipping my foot into the world of air conditioning, thanks to @AdeRizkiChannel, hvacspotting.id, and pendinginudara at Instagram(go visit their pages btw, they're awesome people, and deserve credits for helping me choose an AC unit for my fan room).
