She Loves Me [Not]

----- This is my FHS Round V Entry. This round dealt with heartbreak. I chose to go with Sora's point of view, him being the heartbroken due to a turn of tragic events. I hope you enjoy! Good luck to the other contestants! :] ----- Story: I sat there, holding her unmoving hand. Her beautiful eyes were shut closed in her dream-like state. But it felt more like a nightmare to me. The accident was still vividly in my mind. The painful memories always resurfaced when I walked into her hospital room, but I kept visiting because she was the only one I wanted to see. I stared at a picture of her, before this all happened, and tried to hold it to memory, but I couldn't for as long as I hoped. The image of her pale features now or when she was bloodied and bruised stayed with me the most, despite the many memories. But the most terrifying thing about the whole situation was that I was scared she wasn't going to make it. That fear of having her no longer with me still haunts me with the same intensity today. One day, she finally awoke from her slumber and I could see the confusion she held through her eyes. She looked at me and asked, "Who are you?" I couldn't hold her to what she couldn't remember... She felt terrible that she couldn't remember any of our kisses, promises...She couldn't recall a thing. She said she'd try. But I didn't want her to feel forced to love me. It almost killed me to decide to leave, but she looked happy with my best friend. I knew he'd take care of her. But still, as I left heartbroken, I desperately wanted to turn back around to be with her. I had to let her go, not because I wanted to. It just felt like the right thing to do. Years after, I found myself back at that same train station...and I saw her. And I wondered, if only for a moment, if she saw me too. ----- Extra Ramblings: I really wish I had more free time when the round started. This could have been a lot better. I cut the song so much. I'm surprised the poor thing didn't bleed to death. But, I think that I like it as a whole, a bit. XD Oh and yes, Kairi = Yuna and Sora = Tidus. Get it? :D Nothing else really.
