Shreve is a small village in Wayne County, Ohio. Shreve had its beginning with the coming of the Pennsylvania Railroad in 1853. The village was incorporated on December 26, 1859. Visiting Shreve there are several must visit spots. Shreve Lake is a beautiful wildlife area, perfect for fishing. Shreve Spring Migration Sensation event features self-guided tours and family activities. Species to spot are Sandhill Cranes, Bald Eagles, various Shore birds and migrating Warblers. Des Dutch Essenhaus is a family-owned restaurant in Shreve that is known for its Amish style from scratch cooking. Which if anyone has tried Amish food it is wonderful. And the bakery items are the best. He Brews Coffee was very good. I love mocha coffee, and they made it perfect. If you're in the area check Shreve out.
