Clipper circuits is used to remove or clip off a portion of the input signal.
Types
Series clipper:- Diode is in series with its load.
Shunt clipper :- Diode is in parallel with its load.
Depending on the portion that is clipped, they are divided into two types:
Positive Clipper:-The positive half cycle is clipped.
Negative Clipper:- The negative half cycle is clipped.
