Simple Gameboy Advance SP Mod

In this episode I take apart an old, beat up AGS-001 Gameboy Advance SP, clean the board, install a funny playing IPS V2 screen and fit it in a new transparent clear shell after some trimming. I use all the original buttons, membranes and screws for an authentic feel and solder one wire to achieve 6 levels of brightness control. As you will see in the side by side comparison at the end, the new LCD screen is a huge upgrade from the original front lit screen. Later in the SP's life Nintendo released the backlit AGS-101 SP, but sourcing one of these consoles/screens has become a costly endeavour so these aftermarket IPS screens are a good solution and provide even better image quality than the 101.
