The home made one should sound very good. The cheap 3 unit ones are pretty much unusable as shipped. I prefer to make them - they weigh almost nothing and produce a powerful clean signal with no clack or treble trouble. The piezo disc cost 50 cents and the strap jack is $7. You can make a 2 disc array for $8 plus the wire. An install and test video will be coming soon.
