Finally, without the pressures of trying to make everyone around me happy, I went into one of my darkest nights of the soul. I was given the space to become the mess I needed to be, to grow. I knew I had mental "issues" (as I saw it), but I thought I was just a joke/broken. I didn't know I was AuDHD, and neither did anyone else. I experienced heavy bullying at schools, college, birth family homes, work. My parents divorce at 8 years old, and time together was toxic to say the least. Jumping between homes ripped in two after the divorce taught me I had no home of my own and no where I belong. Later, I self medicated, self harmed, tried to end my life, became agoraphobic and over-weight and never asked for help, so I lived for years in broken down homes with heavy dust and thick black mould, and clothes literally disintegrated on me, wearing the same rags for years with holes up to the size of my head! no over-exaggeration. We can never really paint for others just how much we each go through, but I feel you all. I see you, I validate you. YOU are the most beautiful fragmented, harmonious, messy, healing, fragile, strong gift in this universe/multiverse. Never dim yourself for others or what you think others want to see.
