The #robotics industry needs an ecosystem of building blocks to allow it to find the right combination of hardware and software to meet the diverse opportunities for #robots. There is no one-size-fits-all solution which is why SLAMcore has partnered with a small but growing number of hardware developers to optimize our solutions for their processors and sensors. The latest video in our ‘Democratizing Spatial AI’ series shows our software working with sensors from Intel RealSense and Mynt Eye using Arm processors including the NVIDIA Jetson TX2 and the Raspberry Pi 4. What’s amazing is that even with some of the least expensive processors available, we are able to deliver real-time, stereo visual and inertial SLAM with no loss of accuracy, robustness or reliability. This truly opens the door to many more robot developers to quickly tackle SLAM in their designs.
Since this video's release in 2021, Slamcore has focused its efforts on hardware development to deliver its groundbreaking Spatial AI technology and Real Time Location System (RTLS) offering to OEMs and for retrofitting to Material Handling Equipment (MHE). While SDK is still available, it is no longer a primary offering.
