This talk will introduce the Apache Sling journal based content distribution. It is a new implementation of the Sling Content Distribution APIs suitable for the cloud. The implementation leverages the event sourcing pattern to supports Sling instances horizontal auto-scaling. The design is resilient to errors and minimises the instances resource usage footprint. The talk will provide an overview of the design, its rationale and its implementation on Apache Kafka.
