SMAW Practice 71. This is padding beads on unprepped 5/8" mild steel plate. The electrodes are 1/16" 7018. The settings are 60A DCEP on a (220V) Miller Thunderbolt 210. Next time I use 7018, I will remove the mill scale from the plate steel first.
