The Smith-Appleby House Museum dates to 1702, and features unique early New England cabinetry, stenciling, faux-finished floors, and period furniture, as well as exhibits highlighting Smithfield’s rich history. The building serves as the headquarters for the Historical Society of Smithfield.
The Historical Society maintains an extensive archive of historic photos, documents, articles, and other memorabilia which can be viewed under the “Smithfield History” portion of this website. Our archives are constantly growing, so check back often.
