Not a sponsored video, but I was given some free day tickets, lucky enough! https://bangerpark.com/ 🏔️ Banger Park: Everything You Need to Know (2025 Season Guide) If you’re planning a trip to Banger Park, this is your one-stop guide. From where to stay to how sessions work, here’s everything I wish I knew before showing up. 🛏️ Where to Stay You’ve got three solid options depending on your style and budget: * Stay in Scharnitz (on-site): There are a handful of places to stay right in town, all within a 15-minute walk to the park. Prices are usually around $75 USD per night. Super convenient if you’re here to focus on training. * Stay in Seefeld or Innsbruck and take the train: This is a popular choice. The park is just a 12-minute walk from Scharnitz train station, and staying in a bigger town gives you more restaurants, nightlife, and amenities. * Rent a car and stay wherever: This gives you the most freedom — easy grocery runs, day trips, and flexibility on timing. Great if you're coming with friends or plan to explore the region. 🛒 Groceries There’s a small grocery store in Scharnitz for basic food and drinks, but if you want a better selection (and prices), there’s a larger supermarket just 12 minutes away in Germany. Definitely worth stocking up if you're here for a few days. Because the restaurant options are very limited. 🕒 Park Hours & Session Schedule (2025) The park is open May 1 to November 15, but hours change depending on the month. Regular Hours (May–June): * Monday to Friday: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM * Saturday & Sunday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Summer Schedule (from July onward): * Park opens at 9:00 AM * Daily split into three 3-hour sessions The schedule expands in summer to take advantage of longer days and increased demand, so keep that in mind when planning your sessions. 💸 Pricing (Converted to USD) Here’s what you can expect for daily rates: * Small Bag: €45/day (~$49 USD) * Medium Bag: €60/day (~$65 USD) * XL or Side Hit Bag: €110 per session (~$120 USD)→ After your XL/Side Hit session, you can continue riding the Small or Medium bags for the rest of the day. Payment: Card or cash, all done on-site.Booking: XL and Side Hit sessions must be booked 2–5 days ahead, especially during busy times. 🧠 Training Tips This place is built for progression — whether you're throwing your first 360 or dialling in double corks. A few things to keep in mind: * Expect to be tired. One day on, one day off is a good rhythm. * The Side Hit Bag is super efficient: you can get 25–35 hits in a 3-hour session thanks to the magic carpet lift. * The Medium Bag gets crowded and has a tiring hike. It’s the slowest to lap. * Each airbag has a water spray button — hit it often to soften landings. * Land and sit down. Don’t try to ride it out — that’s how injuries happen. * Even though airbags are soft, collarbones, wrists, and necks are still at risk. Whiplash is the most common issue from bad landings. 🧣 Gear & Clothing Advice * You will get soaked. Wear full-body coverage (long sleeves, pants, gloves). * Rubber burn is real — cover your skin. * Bring extra layers or a towel for after sessions. * Boards must be clean — no edge cracks or base damage. 🕯️ Waxing Your Board for Airbags Before you hit the airbags at Banger Park, make sure your board is prepped properly. You want as little friction as possible on the fake snow. ✅ What to Do: Use basic, scentless white candle wax — IKEA candles work perfectly. Leave the wax on — don’t scrape it off like you would for snow. You can get waxed on-site at the park, but bringing your own is smart. Wax up every day or two — even more often if you’re hitting the bags hard. A smooth board means better speed and softer landings. 🎯 Final Thoughts If you're serious about progression, Banger Park is one of the best setups in the world. The vibe is super casual and welcoming, but the training potential is unreal. Come in with a game plan. Focus on technique over showmanship. Consistent, clean riding gets results faster than just hucking. 📬 Have questions about planning your trip or gear setup?
