Winner of five awards at Edinburgh, Kathmandu and the Indian Documentary Producers’ Association Awards, and screened at festivals across Caserta, Göttingen, Mumbai, Seattle, Sydney, Thrissur and Trivandrum, among others, a journey into the music and everyday life of pastoral Muslim communities of the Great Rann of Kutch. Jayasankar are Professors at the Centre for Media and Cultural Studies, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. Both of them are involved in media production, teaching and research. Jointly, they have won over twenty national and international awards for their films, including the Prix Futura Berlin Asia Prize for Identity and Best Documentary Award at the Three Continents Festival, Venezuela. Rajiv Mehrotra is the founding Managing Trustee and Commissioning Editor of PSBT - his films have won more than 300 awards worldwide, including 32 in 31 years from the President of India. His nine books are available in 50 languages and editions.
