So I Made a Bad Elden Ring Video...

...and now I atone with a positive spin. Apologies for being a bummer. I've lost my way the past few years. The response to the Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree critique was the slap in the face I needed. I went from consistently making videos out of passion to releasing one "this game bad and you should feel bad" video every few months. The more I released this sort of content, the more I felt what I was uploading wasn't worth your time, leading to increasingly long hiatuses. I took the last month to do some soul searching and really dig into how I want to approach content moving forward. The result is my mantra being the same as ever: I want to make videos that showcase passion for gaming in an entertaining way. I want to find ways to get viewers involved again. I want to make videos on more diverse topics, get more creative with content styles, and be consistent about how often I deliver. Hopefully today's love confession for Shadow of the Erdtree is a small step in the right direction. My time away is about to pay off with TWO more videos coming out this week: an essay on the DNA of great boss design and my long overdue Shadow of the Erdtree boss ranking.
