Soil sampling for nutrient analysis: understanding the analytical process

Technical Agronomist with Incitec Pivot, Bede O'Mara, provides an overview of the soil and nutrient analytical process, looking at the range of attributes that can be tested during a soil analysis and how recommendations are generated from the results. Understanding your soil characteristics, the influence of other factors such as irrigation water quality, and what the tests are actually measuring (e.g. total vs plant available nutrients) are all essential to correctly interpreting your soil nutrient levels results.
