From the "Another First" file, we have a large base for a bronze sculpture. The sculpture is a wonderfully whimsical work of a thin man holding an umbrella. Water is piped up from below to hit the inside of the umbrella and shower over the entire piece. I sometimes call it a brass sculpture, but what did you expect from a wood shop guy?
Our friend Bob will eventually build a pond and metal stand to display the sculpture but in the meantime needs it off the floor and safe.
8/4 maple at 31 inches round and six inches thick did the deed. Overbuilt but very safe and another first for West Hills Wood
