Extruded Boss/Base This command adds material. It takes a 2D sketch and pulls it in a straight line (perpendicular to the sketch plane) to create a solid 3D object. Function: Creates the primary geometric body of a part, such as a block, cylinder, or bracket. Example: Drawing a rectangle and extruding it to create a solid metal base plate. 2. Lofted Boss/Base (Loft) This command adds material by creating a smooth, complex 3D transition between two or more different 2D sketches (profiles) drawn on separate planes. Function: Used to create complex, organic, or aerodynamic shapes that cannot be made by simply pushing a sketch straight out or spinning it. It smoothly blends one shape into another. Example: Transitioning from a square sketch to a circular sketch to design a vacuum cleaner nozzle, or designing the sleek, curved hull of a boat.
