In this solidworks tutorial, we will go over the basic convection thermal simulation using the real world example of attic ladder insulation panels. Two materials with very different properties are compared to how much net power out of the panel they release due to convection. The convection coefficient and ambient temperatures are held constant. The initial temperature represents the warmer air at the ground floor while the colder temperature represents the attic space above.
