The tail end of a rainy day session. Plaits and 2 channels of Quadrax for the voices. Sequenced by Pamela's New Workout and 0-CTRL. I’m ashamed to say that I haven’t used Make Noise 0-CTRL much (mostly a matter of finding the desk space) but it seems to pair nicely with the smaller 62hp palette. I was extremely confused (and still might be) when syncing 0-CTRL to an external clock source. Unlike most modules that turn their Speed/Rate knob to a clock divider/multiplier, this little guy seems to think it’s a good idea to use the internal AND external clocks, combined. It’s pretty wild and results in some crazy shuffles. That is, uh, not featured here. I just wanted to try to get 0-CTRL to behave like a regular ol’ sequencer. Eventually I figured out you can just stop the internal clock from advancing the sequence, aha! But even then, Speed still interacts with the Strength knobs to control the dynamic envelope (and dynamic gate, I believe). I tried to use this to some effect by having the dynamic envelope control Plait’s level. Sorta worked. Anyway, there’s a cactus. Enjoy.
