Using the Tension Meter, you're given the ability to boost to top speed in an instant, allowing you to escape collapsing platforms, break through boundaries and activate the Special Gimmicks with ease. Don't overdo the boosting, though. There's plenty of bottomless pits to keep the overzealous player in check...
