Sonnet 28- original piece for string quartet

Another piece inspired by Shakespeare's sonnets, this time No. 28. I originally wrote this piece for choir, set to the words of the sonnet, but the poor quality of the synthesised choir (without lyrics, too) meant that I transferred it across to string quartet; I think it sounds rather nice this way. In this video, the words of the sonnet are displayed in the centre of the score, with the timings matching the original choir version. A key concept of this piece was that it should never resolve until the final two chords, instead it travels through various keys, never truly settling until it reaches the last, well deserved Em.
