In this video I investigate just how much platinum is required to get an atmospheric thruster powered ship into space in Space Engineers. Then make a failed attempt at coming up with a simple rule of thumb that will work for upgrading your existing ships to make them space capable with a few ion thrusters.
I also say slingshot... a lot!
