Spark AR - World Object (Masterclass Chapter 3)
This template is great for world effects that need interactive position, scale, and rotation controls. Otherwise, it's quite complex to build all that out from scratch. Screen Tap, Pan, Rotate, Pinch These four patches give you various outputs related to screen interactions. They aren't necessarily straightforward, though. Screen pan, for instance, operates in a 2D screenspace area. So if you want that to change an object in 3D space, you have to understand which axis to use, where to hook them up, and how to adjust them. I believe screen pan uses pixel coordinates of your phone screen while 3D objects use meters, so you don't want your object moving at one meter per pixel! That would be madness! Blocks Blocks allow you to save and export pieces of a project so you can reuse them. Simply create a block that includes the components you want to reuse and add the block whenever you need it. You can create a block for most things you need to repeat or reuse in Spark. Combinations of scene objects, assets, patches, materials, and texture settings are all supported. You can also create blocks within other blocks. — Learn how to make Instagram filters by following along with the Spark AR Masterclass on YouTube!
