BREAKING NEWS Speaker Determines Process for Impeachment Committee Composition Parliament - The Speaker of the National Assembly, Ms Thoko Didiza, has determined the process for composing the Impeachment Committee, following consultations with the National Assembly Chief Whips Forum. Political parties will submit names of members to serve on the committee by 22 May 2026. The 31-member committee will comprise: ANC: 9 members DA: 5 members MKP: 3 members EFF: 2 members IFP: 1 member PA: 1 member FF Plus: 1 member ActionSA: 1 member ACDP: 1 member UDM: 1 member RISE Mzansi: 1 member BOSA: 1 member ATM: 1 member Al-Jama-ah: 1 member NCC: 1 member UAT: 1 member The Speaker aims to balance proportional representation with inclusivity, allowing smaller parties to participate.
