Since the launch of the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) Act last year, the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, Labour and Immigration has been progressing work on its implementation.
The act aims to establish a legal framework for creating and managing designated zones to drive investment, create jobs, and foster industrial growth in the country.
Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Riley Mesepitu says the Ministry is working on creating the relevant authorities to manage and lead the implementation of the Act.
