Spin Recall Game

This is a method to build extra fun and drive to find you when calling your dog and as an added bonus your dogs learn about deceleration at speed, so learn to slow down to be able to turn tight with you. Great for those pups and adolescent dogs who have speed, but not a lot of thought in the process of stopping! With this game, as your dog comes to you, we turn and run the other way on the same line with a 180˚ turn for them to catch up with you to be rewarded with a marker 'Yes' and either food or a toy. Start with just one turn and then build in a few more, randomising the number of turns each time you play this game. Have your dog either turn into you (as with the Direction Change Game or Front Cross) or have them come around the outside of your leg as you spin away for them to catch you up for food rewards or a great game of tug.
