Spirals
The path isn't a straight line; it's a spiral. You continually come back to things you thought you understood and see deeper truths. - Barry H. Gillespie ========================================================================= Stephen Harold Buhner; A Westerner interviewed a Kalahari bushmen elder who said “Tell your people they must wake up TWICE in the morning. Once when they wake up, and secondly, they must awaken their heart to the touch of the world upon them, they must spend every day building up a library of feelings. The person interviewing him said “The problem is the people in my culture don’t know that feelings are real”. The Kalahari Elder replied “Do they keep bumping up against feelings and meanings that they don’t know what they are so they tell their heart ❤ to go back to sleep again every minute of the day?” The first act of disobedience is contemplation. How does this feel to me? How do I experience the sensory data coming my way? Hone this skill of tuning into your instinct/FELT SENSE. ========================================================================== The greatest conduct is joy The greatest purification is joy. The greatest accumulation is joy. Joy is the mother of Immeasurable Love & Compassion - the mother of awakening itself. - Togden Amtin ========================================================================== The sun came up and it touched my skin, and I came alive again! I'd forgotten how it feels to bask in it's warmth! Being together is the practice, No man is an island! The path is not straight, it's a spiral. You're gona come back to things you thought you understood! And find within them deeper truths, And love so hard it's never in doubt! Oh no. My practice is remembering, And learning to smile again. The greatest conduct is joy It's the purification I employ.
