For a while now we've been hearing the old, "don't like it, don't watch" line from creators but that hasn't been the best for ratings in the end. There's a lot of spite and purposely putting in jokes to be hurtful or attack the people they don't like. Whether it's mainstream offerings like Velma or more independent produced media like Mr. Birchum, it ends up not being funny or compelling. It's a shame really.
