Split Seven - Surrender
Track 4 off "Falling Apart" EP 2002 Split Seven (or Split 7) was a punk band from Santa Fe Springs, CA. Formed sometime around 2000-ish, they released a 4-song demo and an EP that was passed out at local shows. Very much due to the support of their high school classmates, S7 was able to work their way up from playing backyard shows and parties to larger venues like Chain Reaction and The Showcase Theatre, scoring opening slots on shows with bands like Yellowcard, Rufio, and Plain White T's. In 2001, S7 enlisted Tony (Grek) from local punks Disturbed98 to take over on drums and quickly recorded a 3-song demo at Tru-One Recordings, one track of which appeared on a Basement Records compilation. In early 2002, S7 entered the infamous Love Juice Labs to record 'Falling Apart', and followed it up with a southwest mini-tour with Best Interest. The band grew gradually more and more inactive and ended towards the fall of 2002. Members of S7 also played in Disturbed98 and went on to play in Tiefighter, yourlastbreath, Anchorless, and More To Pride. Recorded at Love Juice Labs in Riverside, California.
