Players choose their character and then roll a bowling ball down the lane shown on the screen, with tickets being rewarded based upon the number of knocked over pins.
If a strike is rolled, play continues, and if the player manages three strikes in a row, the ticket jackpot is awarded.
The game controls with a trackball:
Roll Ball - Roll the trackball.
Move character - Move trackball left/right.
Select character - Press the "Start" button.
The players select a character from the hit cartoon series from SpongeBob, Patrick, Sandy, Mr.Krabbs, Squidward or Plankto.
The machine features custom recorded speech by SpongeBob's voice artist, Tom Kenny.
The game has leftover music from Chicago Gaming's previous SpongeBob game, SpongeBob SquarePants Jellyfishing.
