Spring Boot + Resilience 4J Integration
Cascading failures are all too common when your software is running alongside other software in your production environment. Wouldn’t it be great if you could isolate your software from other software’s issues? Wouldn’t it be great if you could keep your own problems local and not cause problems for other software running in the same environment? Wouldn’t it be great if your app stayed up while others are down? Resilience4j is a lightweight, easy-to-use fault tolerance library inspired by Netflix Hystrix, but designed for Java 8 and functional programming. As Netflix has announced that they no longer actively supporting the Hystrix circuit breaker then what are the alternatives. We will cover resilince4j for the circuit breaker. And it also has features other than circuit breaker which are good to have. This video covers the following topics about resilience4j - 1. What is resilience4j? https://youtu.be/lEMtSN2ZCnY 2.
