This short video introduces Wine Cap Mushrooms ("Stropharia rugosoannulata"). These are easily cultivated and edible.They can be found in late fall and mid spring, have maroon caps and usually grow on wood chips or straw.
Always be sure of the id of any mushroom you eat and cook them (rather than consuming them raw.)
