Sprite Animations Inside AE - Lesson 6: Fast Fighting
Today we will be looking at how to create the high speed fast fighting effect inside After Effects. This effect looks good when used in small bursts, and it's where you can start to really get creative in terms of how you want your "fast fighting" to look. Example, maybe one fighter is stronger then the other or they are both equal in power. In this tutorial you'll learn how to: * Pre-compose multiple layers into a single composition or (layer) * Duplicate layers * Fast Blur effect (without using the motion blur) Shortcuts * CTRL D = Duplicate a layer (make sure you have your layer selected) * Pre-compose layers = Select multiple layers while holding down shift. Go to "Layer" "Pre-compose" Select "Move all attributes into new composition." Make sure you name your new composition as well. Please take into account that when you Pre-compose a bunch of layers with different qualities, (Solid line or dotted line) They will retain those qualities inside the new composition, however, they don't really look like they have (as seen in the video). As a rule of thumb only Pre compose layers where all of the quality (say for instance a dotted line) are the same. Unless you're not messing with scaling, or later on your camera. **Source Files** http://www.the.redheadhenry.com/downloads/rhh-TUTfiles-sprite-fighting02.zip Next tutorial we will look at fighting again maybe and also camera movement. As always thanks to Angryboy for allowing me to use his sprites.
