SSK Decrease | Easy Knitting Tutorial
In this video, I'll show you how to decrease using SSK, which stands for Slip, Slip, Knit. As the name suggests, it's a decrease technique where you slip two stitches and then knit them together, reducing them into a single stitch. SSK is a simple technique that allows you to shape your projects. This decrease leans to the left, making it perfect for shaping areas where you want the stitch line to angle in that direction — and it is the mirror technique of K2tog. In this tutorial I'll show you two versions of the SSK: the regular one, and a small variation that gives a slightly smoother result. Both are equally good, and which one you use will depend on your pattern or personal preference. This tutorial is ideal for beginners starting with decreases, as well as for anyone looking to improve their knitting skills.
