This course on Staggered Difference in Differences took place over three days (June 7, 10, and 11, 2024). The course drew on key points from the forthcoming textbook "Credible Answers to Hard Questions? Differences-in-Differences for Natural Experiments," co-authored by Clément de Chaisemartin and Xavier D’Haultfoeuille. The sessions in in this video took place on June 11 and covered material from the following three papers:
1. Heterogeneous Adoption Designs paper, where the authors revisit the Pierce and Schott NTR gap paper: https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=4284811
2. Paper on event-study estimators for non-binary and/or non-staggered treatments, where the authors revisit the Favara and Imbs financial deregulations paper: https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=3731856
3. Paper on continuous treatments, where the authors reestimate the price-elasticity of gasoline consumption: https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=4011782
