I"m going to tell you today how to build a small stairway. That would include the vocabulary that's used including terms like "tread" "riser" "rise" "run" and "stringer."
We will be cutting our own stringers rather than purchasing them by using a carpenters framing square and a pair of trammel points.
Some important pointers will include how to cut the stringers, how to secure the top and bottom of each stringer and how to line up several stringers together.
Finally we will attach the steps or treads as they are called and the risers made from Trex brand plastic decking and attach handrails.
