The analysis of data resulting from experiments is essential because it aims mainly at compensating for various sources of bias and interpretation of the findings. Statistics is concerned with the behavior of data under varying conditions. A knowledge of algebra and basic aspects of calculus, together with a willingness to think systematically, suffice to acquire an excellent understanding of statistical methods for experimental research. In this presentation, I explain the underlying rationale of data analysis and the basic techniques available for that purpose.
