In this video I describe what remains at the end of a stars life, and the physics that governs that remnants. For low mass stars, like a the sun, a white dwarf remains. In the case of a high mass star, a neutron star or a black hole will be left after the supernova explosion. I discuss how binary systems can evolve, including those with white dwarfs and neutron stars.
