Creating Stencils with Illustrator. Going from a graphic to a layered stencil that can be used for stencilling or screen printing.
Process:
- 1:01 - new project started at the actual size of the artwork and RGB
- 1:30 - Bring in your image - file – place
- 2:10 - Make your image in a vector with Image trace (3 colour is good)
- 3:30 - Separate your colours
- 9:00 - Remove islands and fine tune
- 12:40 - Duplicate your layers and convert them for the laser cutter to be no fill and stroke of 0.01pt RGB red
- Cut and Stencil or screen print!!
