This video shows planning of a STN-VIM DBS electrode placement hrotugh parietal approach using a DBS lead with electrodes spanning 15mm.
Initially, the STN is set as target, the VIM as entry, then the trajectory is projected out to the surface of the scalp, about 9cm. Then, adjustments are made to avoid the ventricles and sulci and remain as close as possible to the original STN and VIM targets.
