Stone Fire Ring Aligned With True North

A compass-shaped fire ring oriented to true north, which in my location in Central CT is about 13 degrees east of magnetic north. I'm using Dolomite boulders which I've scavenged from around my property over the last year. Really cool rock that's very smooth, hard, dense, and creamy looking. Lots of rich white and pink hues. They are pretty rare so that's why it took a while to find them all and dig them out. At night if two boulders so much as rub against each other they throw off sparks. Dolomite classification was made by an ex-geologist friend, thanks Ewa! Many ancient stone structures, including the Giza pyramids, are aligned to true north with insane accuracy, so that's one of my inspirations here. I also just like knowing at a glance exactly where north is for some reason. For the seating it's also been about a year of collecting 8 suitable boulders for the compass points that will make comfortable benches.
