Most people crack these open and hope for the best, but in this video I show a more controlled way to reveal what’s hidden inside using proper fossil preparation techniques. Starting with a solid Yorkshire ammonite nodule, I carefully begin removing the matrix with an air pen, slowly exposing the fossil layer by layer.
