Stop in time or damage a pack ?!
I pushed this battery past 4.2V… but did the BMS stop it in time? In this video, I test the overcharge protection of a 3S (12.6V) BMS on a 12V battery pack. ________________________________________ One cell group is already above the safe voltage. So I keep charging and monitor exactly when the BMS cuts off. ________________________________________ 🔧 What you’ll see: • Real-time voltage tracking (per cell group) • Overcharge condition (above 4.2V) • The exact cut-off moment • What happens after shutdown ________________________________________ The BMS does stop the charge… 👉 but not always at the ideal time. ________________________________________ If you’re building or using lithium-ion battery packs, understanding this matters. ________________________________________ I test batteries and BMS systems like this all the time — subscribe if you want to see what actually works.
