These Lectures series is only designed for Undergrad Students of Civil Engineering, who are interested in starting and develop the concept of design of Reinforced concrete Structure i.e. Basic Design Philosophy, Limit state design method, Working Stress Method, Analysis and design of Concrete section, Design of beam for Flexural, Design of Beam for shear Only and Shear Plus Torsion Design, Design of one Way Slab, Design of Two way Slab, Design of Uniaxial column, Design of Bi-axial Column Design of Column footing, Design of Square Footing, Design of Combine Footing. Design of Wall Footing, Design of Shear wall, Design of Retaining Wall, Design of stair design and Design of All Structure in ETAB.
Lecture # 2 of reinforced concrete design- course series in Hindi/Urdu.
In, this Lecture, I have Generally demonstrated that how to start the design process i.e 1st we will find out the demand on each structure elements using structure analysis (either manually or using ETAB,SAFE,CSICOL, SAP2000 etc.)that is load on beam ( bending moment, shear force and torsion in beam) and similarly loads on column , slab and footing. Then I explained what the output of Structure Design and that is Proportioning of Structure Dimension and selection of Proper materials (Concrete, Steel or Wood) and their strengths.
Fc’ = Twenty (28) Days Compressive strength of Concrete
Fy = Steel Rebar yield strength ( 40 Ksi and 60 Ksi)
As = Area of Steel Bar in Tension
As’ = Area of Steel Bar in Compression.
