Student Perspectives
This video discusses the attributes and experiences of great preceptors from the perspective of students. Several students share their positive experiences with preceptors who exhibited qualities such as intentional communication, providing guided autonomy, fostering inclusion, challenging students to step out of their comfort zones, and facilitating clinical reasoning. One student nominates their preceptor, Bahari Farhadian, for the Preceptor of the Year award, highlighting her dedication to setting goals, providing constructive feedback, creating a safe learning environment, and modeling clinical excellence.
