A quick video about replacing the spring on a Subaru Legacy gear shifter. This is the spring that ensures the gear lever remains in the 3rd and 4th gear position when in neutral. Without the spring it's quite difficult change gear accurately and it can be quite dangerous because it is pretty easy to shift from 4th to 1st (rather than 3rd) when down shifting.
