Extended version of a super pressure balloon (SPB) flight from Sweden in 2012. The test paved the way for a SPB flight lifting off from Wanaka, New Zealand, in March 2015 on an around the world flight. NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility manages the agency’s scientific balloon program with 10 to 15 flights each year from launch sites worldwide.
