Suprascapular nerve Comes off the C5-C6 nerve roots. Injury to the nerve can cause shoulder pain and weakness to the rotator cuff specifically the rotator cuff the supraspinatus and infraspinatus which is responsible for abduction and external rotation. Lets free up the nerve where it is pinched. Nerve do not like to be stretched but they do respond well to gliding and flossing which is to move one end at a time through the area where it is pinched. The movement is performed gently and slow. If you feel moderate or severe numbness or tingling it is a sign that the nerve is either compressed or overstretch which is not the goal here. Make sure your upper back is straight and relax your shoulders. Tilt your head away from the injured site Left side injured tilt head to the Right.
