Manasa, an iTaukei young man moves to Suva City for the first time.
Suva, known for its fast paced lifestyle surpasses Manasa’s perception of the City Life.
Business men in freshly pressed suits, polished safety boots by the road side shoe shine boys and an unpleasant mix of sweaty and musky scents in the early morning rush and bumper to bumper traffic. On the side, easily overlooked, the mysterious and seductive femme fatales in passing, a couple mid argument and hustle of the wheelbarrow boys by the Suva City Market.
Although, as the sun goes down, the structured city walls and chains of society all disappear as the night life comes alive. Cue the DJ, once the music starts, status doesn’t matter anymore.
