Recorded six years ago in a dank, Coventry, UK, studio, but only just released on wax by Canadian indie label Kingfisher Blues, this EP by Swinging Balls is a soundtrack to isolation and loss. Four slabs of crushing punk doom. Pounding drums and thumping bass wrestle with glassy guitars and contorted vocals. The singer is like an angry, wounded animal, ready to rip you to pieces if you get too close. This is the sound of the Midlands. This is the recurring end. For fans of Swans, Harvey Milk, Flipper and Oxbow, maybe.
